Nicole Handel is a graduating psychology major at Champlain College. Originally from upstate New York, Nicole feels right at home in Vermont, and intends to stay there post-grad. Nicole's goals and studies surrounding psychology are integrative, focusing on general wellness, nature therapy, holistic nutrition, and writing therapy. Her hope is to work in the field of wilderness therapy after graduation, improving peoples' lives through a focus on the natural world. Being a part of The LOVES Initiative has served as a platform for Nicole to further research, analyze, and understand basic human emotions and impulses, with love and attachment as the central theme. When Nicole isn't devoting her time to the humanities, though, she is hiking with her German Shepherd Dog, photographing people and places, or writing poetry and narratives.
