Bridging the Gap in Sex Ed
When kids first learn about the birds and the bees the classic introduction line is “when a man and a woman really love each other…” Besides the slap in the face to homosexuality, this statement is a blatant lie. We know that people usually have sex because it feels good, not always because they are trying to have a child. That only happens in the future, but most couples will have sex before they are trying to conceive. So why not be honest with our children about it?
